Prospective Graduates:  Please read the below information carefully.

The College of Humanities Office of the Dean is pleased to invite you and your guests to the Spring 2012 Pre-Commencement Ceremonies which are held to honor each prospective BA, MA, MFA, and PhD degree recipients in attendance. 
 
The College of Humanities pre-commencement ceremonies do not replace the University-wide Ceremony.  The University of Arizona President is the only person who confers degrees; and that is why we call the College of Humanities a pre-commencement celebration.  We are privileged to recognize each graduate personally, give you a medallion, and to make the time to celebrate with you.

Our College Spring 2012 Ceremonies have been scheduled for:

Hooding Ceremony for MAs, MFAs, and PhDs
Monday, May 07
3:00pm - 5:00pm
Student Union Memorial Center North Ballroom.
RSVP for you and your guests is required.
There is no charge for this ceremony, and tickets are not required.
The procession will begin at 3:00pm.
Please arrive by 2:30pm at the latest.
Cap, gown, and hood are required
Reception to follow in Diamond Atrium (refreshments/cookies).
 
Bachelor of Arts Ceremony
Friday, May 11
8:00am - 10:00am
Student Union Memorial Center Grand Ballroom (North entrance).
RSVP for you and your guests is required.
 There is no charge for this Ceremony, and tickets are not required.
There is no procession at this Ceremony.
Please arrive by 7:30am at the latest.
Cap and gown are required.
Refreshments available in the Diamond Atrium (7am-8am).

We recommend that you and your guest(s) arrive at the same time then proceed immediately to designated seating in the Ballroom. The College of Humanities is not able to make parking arrangements for these events due to the large number of campus activities. We therefore ask that you please keep in mind that parking spaces fill up quickly and it will be important to acquaint yourself with the University’s many parking facilities.
