Buddhist Studies Lecture Series - "Happiness and Buddhism"

Tuesday, April 14, 2015 - 9:00am to 11:00am
UA Poetry Center, Rubel Room 1508 E. Helen Street Tucson, AZ 85721

Presented by Celestino Fernandez, PhD

Why and how are happiness and Buddhism related?  What can Buddhism teach us about happiness?  Why is Bhutan, the most Buddhist nation, interested in Gross National Happiness?  This session will address these and many related questions.

This is the second installment of the Buddhist Studies Lecture Series co-sponsored by the UA College of Humanities' East Asian Studies Department and the Confluencenter for Creative Inquiry.

Be sure to join us for our last lecture in this series, "Religious Imagination in the World of Lotus Sutra" on May 5th, presented by Jiang Wu, PhD.
