In case you missed it, The Chronical of Education recently featured Africana Studies Professor Bryan Carter and his unique approach to introducing students to the Harlem Renaissance. Using the latest technology such as avatars, 3D glasses and green screens, Professor Carter has created a Virtual Harlem that allows students to truly immerse themselves in the material of the course. His work with the automatic virutal environment has engaged and enthralled students as they are able to take a step back in time and experience first-hand the nuances of the Harlem Renaissance.
