Prof. Praise Zenenga Named Director of the Africana Studies Program

Professor Praise Zenenga has been named the next Director of the Africana Studies Program in the College of Humanities, effective September 5, 2016.

 

Dr. Praise is currently Associate Professor of Africana Studies. His research, publications, and teaching focus on interdisciplinary approaches to understanding issues of identity, social change and social justice in the literature and performance (dance/theater) of Africa and African Diaspora communities. He is also interested in digital Africana Studies, hip-hop studies, and very active (including as a performer) in the local community, collaborating with many artists and organizations.
