2012 Tucson Festival of Books
Come visit us at the Tucson Festival of Books, where several members of our esteemed faculty will be present to answer questions about their most recent publications.
Events take place Saturday and Sunday March 10-11, 2012 from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
We’ll be located on the north side of the UA Mall Tent Stage (tent 9), Booth #306. Meet our professors for lively discussion of their prominent research topics and books. Scheduled appearances:
SATURDAY, MARCH 10
Thomas Kovach @ 10 am
Ask him how Germans today deal with Germany’s Nazi history from his commentaries in The Burden of the Past: Martin Wasler on Modern German Identity (Camden House, 2008).
Albrecht Classen @ 11 am
Ask him about medieval answers to modern-day problems as he shares highlights from the Handbook of Medieval Studies: Terms – Methods – Trends (De Gruyter, 2010).
Jerrold Hogle @ 1 pm
Ask him why The Phantom of the Opera has been told and retold so many times as explored in his book, The Undergrounds of The Phantom of the Opera (Palgrave Macmillan, 2002).

Ask him about formal insults in medieval Italian poetry from his latest publication, Dante’s Tenzone with Forese Donati: The Reprehension of Vice (University of Toronto Press, 2011).
