French and Francophone Studies

The French and Francophone Studies Program in the School of International Languages, Literatures and Cultures is a diverse community of students, scholars, and friends. It is an intensive program for the study of French language and Francophone culture.

Study Abroad 

Study abroad programs in France and the French-speaking world offer a real-world setting for language skills practice and cultural awareness development. The Arizona in Paris program and the Arizona in the French Caribbean Program are six-week/five-week full-immersion programs where students live with host families while attending classes.

Career Opportunities 

French majors work in every industry in the professional world, including: business, interpretation, public relations, international relations, engineering, education, and more. Graduates may also choose to enter law school, medical school, or a multitude of other advanced degree programs.
