Holocaust Survivor Leslie Schwartz

Join us in hearing Leslie Schwartz’ story which has generated international attention; articles on the Talking Weeds blog have been read by thousands of people in over fifty countries. He is also very much in demand as an educator and lecturer. His recent travels and speaking engagements have been covered by major media in the United States including The New York Times, CBS and ABC news. Süddeutsche Zeitung, Germany’s largest daily newspaper with over one million readers, featured his story in August 2011.

Mr. Schwartz will speak about his experiences as a teenager in Auschwitz, Dachau, and Mühldorf and show a film titled "The Mühldorf Death Train" (45 minutes, in English).  This event is sponsored by the College of Humanities, the Arizona Center for Judaic Studies, and the Tucson Jewish Community Center.
