Introducing the College of Humanities' Study Abroad Program for Adult Learners

November 16th, 2017
Explore the south of France in an immersive cultural and educational trip, led by professors who will share their expertise about the region and its art, history and cuisine.

The inaugural College of Humanities Study Abroad Program for Adult Learners will embark for Aix-en-Provence in April, for an exceptional tour designed specifically for lifelong learners, UA alumni and Humanities Seminars students.

College of Humanities Dean Alain-Philippe Durand, a native of Provence, and HSP program director Malcolm Compitello will lead this trip, April 14 to 24, 2018. Space is limited to 20 travelers. See the full trip itinerary and registration details here.

The 10-day itinerary includes lectures and seminars on French language, history and culture, including expert insight into artists who made the region world famous, like author Émile Zola and painter Paul Cézanne. Guided excursions to Avignon, Marseille and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence will showcase the region’s most memorable sites.

Whether you’ve never been to Provence or you’ve been ten times, you’ll want to join A-P Durand, one of the country’s leading experts on French culture, for this unique journey.
