Monica Drake is the author of the critically acclaimed indie novel Clown Girl (Hawthorne Books), which was recently optioned for film by Kristen Wiig. Her new novel, The Stud Book, will appear from Crown in March of 2012. Drake’s stories and essays have appeared in The Northwest Review, Threepenny Review, Beloit Fiction Journal, Oregon Humanities Magazine, and many other publications and anthologies.
