Get to Know Your Peers
Peer mentors are here to help new students transition to the University of Arizona as well as assisting all COH students with finding their Academic Advisor’s office, navigating campus resources and expectations, and connecting them with the right people to succeed. Peer mentors are role models who can help students get more involved on campus and also serve as a resource for any challenges they encounter.

Meet our Current Peer Mentors
Katelynn
Katelynn is a senior with a major in Applied Humanities that emphasizes Business Administration. She has a minor in Finance and a minor in Spanish. This is her 3rd year as a mentor, and she continues to be grateful for the experience that is the College of Humanities. She is especially excited to spend her last semester with the program by connecting with students to set them up for success in their future years at the University of Arizona. She hopes to give back to the community by working in the non-profit industry or client relations. In her free time, you can find her at the gym, a thrift store, or at a local market! She also enjoys trying new food spots with her family or friends. She looks forward to meeting with you, and she can't wait to make this final semester the best one yet!
Jazmin
Jazmin is a junior triple majoring in French, Italian, and Spanish. She hopes to work in translation and travel the world after graduating. Wherever she goes, she wishes to continue improving her language abilities, which will lead to a greater understanding of other cultures. As a peer mentor, Jazmin is excited to assist students in finding opportunities, gaining confidence, and making the most of their time at the UofA. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music in different languages!
Dorian
Dorian is a sophomore at the University of Arizona, and is pursuing a major in Classics. They love to study modern and ancient languages, and hope to continue learning languages throughout their time at the University of Arizona. In their free time, they love to talk with friends, see live music, read, and explore the natural beauty that Tucson has to offer
Lillie
Lillie is a junior here at the University of Arizona, expecting to graduate in 2028. She is dual majoring in (BA) Applied Humanities: Business Administration and (BS) Public Health: Health Systems Theory and Practice, as well as completing a minor in Spanish. Lillie loves being a part of the Humanities college and being involved in the different events they put on. This is Lillie's second year as a Peer Mentor, and she loves making connections and interacting with her peers. She is not a Tucson native, but has lived in Arizona her whole life, mostly the Phoenix area. Lillie loves cats and is hoping to adopt one this year! Some of Lillie's hobbies are reading and crocheting. She is also a lover of the old Barbie movies and is the proud owner of 23 Barbie DVDs. Lillie is always here to help, and only an email away, so feel free to reach out!
Ayzada
Ayzada is a World Literature major, a College of Humanities Peer Mentor, and a recipient of the Uzbekistan Presidential Scholarship, a fully funded scholarship that covers her educational and living expenses. She is excited to support incoming students, share her experiences, and help them feel comfortable and connected at the University of Arizona. She is especially passionate about literature, languages, and learning about different cultures. As an international student, she has learned how to adapt to a new academic environment, become more independent, and manage different responsibilities. Ayzada is also a poet, and some of her poetry has been published in Karakalpakstan magazines. She is especially interested in Uzbek, Karakalpak, and Kazakh literature. Her advice to first-year students is to ask questions, use university resources, and never be afraid to seek help.
Molly
Molly is currently a senior at the university, double majoring in Psychology and Public and Applied Humanities with an emphasis in Business Administration. Molly was born and raised in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, a small ski town in the Rocky Mountains. This is her first year being a Peer Mentor and she looks forward to making an impact before she graduates in May! She has passion for wellness, leadership, behavioral habits, and team development. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors whether that is hiking or skiing, spending time with friends and family, and staying active. She especially enjoys traveling. Especially after her semester abroad in Rome, Italy, where she not only took business classes at an international school, but also traveled to more than 10 different countries. She looks forward to helping and meeting you soon!
Interested in becoming a peer mentor?
Being a peer mentor is an excellent opportunity to build connections with the University community, including faculty, staff, and students. As a mentor, you will gain valuable interpersonal skills, deepen your understanding of the University, and acquire transferable skills that can be applied in various settings. Your interactions with incoming students will have a meaningful impact on their college experience. Furthermore, serving as a peer mentor offers the opportunity to earn internship credit.
