Reading: Matt Bell and Hieu Minh Nguyen

Matt Bell joins 2015 summer resident Hieu Minh Nguyen for a reading at the Poetry Center on July 23rd, at 7pm. They will each read from their work, followed by a Q&A and a book signing. 

Hieu Minh Nguyen is the author of This Way to the Sugar (Write Bloody Press, 2014). Hieu is a Kundiman fellow, a recipient of the Minnesota Emerging Writers’ Grant from The Loft Literary Center. His work has also appeared or is forthcoming in publications such as The Journal, PANK, The Paris-American, Muzzle, Vinyl, Indiana Review, and other journals. He lives in Minneapolis. 

Matt Bell is the author of the novel In the House Upon the Dirt Between the Lake and the Woods, a finalist for the Young Lions Fiction Award, a Michigan Notable Book, and an Indies Choice Adult Debut Book of the Year Honor Recipient, and the winner of the Paula Anderson Book Award. His next novel, Scrapper, will be published in September 2015, and his stories have appeared in Best American Mystery Stories, Best American Fantasy, Conjunctions, Gulf Coast, The American Reader, and many other publications. He teaches creative writing at Arizona State University.
