Bryan Carter, Director of the UA's Center for Digital Humanities, sees an opportunity for the UA to lead in technology and content development of virtual worlds.
In a new interview, Carter discussed virtual worlds, both in terms of fictional portrayals and the development augmented and mixed-reality technologies.
Having "studied virtual reality and immersed himself in the field of digital humanities before there even was a name for it," Carter spoke about the opportunities for the College of Humanities and the UA as a whole to inform the ethical and social constructs of the virtual worlds being built today.
