College Community Spotlight
World Class Faculty & Academic Advisors
Find out who your advisor is and the types of questions they can help you with as you progress through your Humanities degree. Plan to meet with your advisors at least once a semester to ensure you’re on track.
Peer Mentors
Your support network includes peer mentors who can help with the transition to college. Peer mentors are role models who can help students get more involved on campus and also serve as a resource for any challenges they encounter.
Student Ambassadors
If you're ready to meet other Humanities students, consider joining our Student Ambassadors. Ambassadors take on the role of "Humanities influencer" by assisting college representatives at a number of recruitment-based and college-related projects and events throughout the year.
Get Involved with the College of Humanities
Our small class sizes offer you the opportunity to really get to know your professors and classmates. We are a tight-knit community in a large university, but being a Humanities student is about much more beyond the classroom.
Study Abroad
The College of Humanities wants every student to have the life-changing opportunity to see the world, and it's never too early to start planning your study abroad experience. We offer faculty-led programs to destinations including Argentina, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Spain and more!
Humanities Fearless Scholars
Every year, we select up to 50 of our undergraduate majors as Humanities Fearless Scholars. If you are selected, you will be awarded funds that can ultimately build up to $5,000 at the end of your degree. Application preference is given to newly admitted students with a first-year or sophomore standing.

Join us on this early date for a one-to-one experience at the Modern Languages Bldg. Meet advisors, faculty and college leaders in a casual setting with plenty of time for questions and conversation.

On the same day as our Spring Humanities Cafe, you'll get a true taste of the campus and our college hospitality. Enjoy refreshing beverages and snacks and say hello to advisors, faculty and college leaders.

Enjoy a sunny Saturday when our popular Humanities Cafe opens just for admitted students and their guests. Department table hosts will welcome you with games, giveaways and lots of information about programs.
