Join Alain-Philippe Durand, Dorrance Dean of the College of Humanities, on a special program to France exclusively designed for the University of Arizona. Immerse yourself in the earthy pleasures of rustic Southwestern France on this custom-designed springtime expedition to Bordeaux and the Dordogne.

Our journey meanders between the big city sophistication of Bordeaux, the renowned wine meccas of the Médoc and Saint-Émilion, and the ancient, picturesque landscapes of the Dordogne Valley. Along the way, special experiences abound – private cellar tours, cheese tastings, a cooking class, and gourmet meals. Learn about the unique local concept of terroir, the special impacts of particular local soils and climate conditions on the flavors and quality of produce. See beautiful medieval villages, the majestic Atlantic coastline, and lavish historic urban environments – all in one nine-day journey with fellow College of Humanities supporters.
