After 23 years as Head of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, Dr. Malcolm Compitello will step down from his administrative role and return to teaching full time.

Compitello is the longest currently serving UA Department Head. Since joining UA in 1995, Compitello has been a fixture as an administrator, but it’s his reputation as a scholar, professor and mentor that has distinguished him in the field.

Join the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the College of Humanities in celebrating Malcolm's 23 fantastic years.

The Gracias Malcolm Open House will take place on Thursday, April 26, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Student Union Memorial Center, Kachina Room.
