Join us for the “Art of Healing” presentation on Friday, February 28th which features University of Arizona experts from various departments such as Psychology, Psychiatry, English and Religious Studies. This panel will offer a range of perspectives on the promise of bridging the work of health sciences and wellness initiatives with the interdisciplinary contributions of Applied and Public Humanities. Presenters include Ole Thienhaus, M.D., MBA, FACPsych, Fenton Johnson, MFA, Mark Gilbert, M.D., FRCP and Hester Oberman, Ph.D. A complete list of participants and topics are included below.

This panel is part of the broader three-day Humanities, Medicine & Wellness Conference featuring University of Arizona faculty working at the intersections of the humanities, health sciences, and wellness initiatives to address global challenges. The conference will be held February 26-28, 2014 on the UA campus and will integrate research panels and papers from the Colleges of Humanities, Law, Medicine, Public Health, Science, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and others.
