Buddhist Ethics and the World Crisis

Join us for an inspiring lecture with Robert A.F. Thurman at the University of Arizona, titled "Buddhist Ethics and the World Crisis: How to Have Fun While Doing the Right Thing." Thurman is a worldwide authority on religion and spirituality, Asian history, and Buddhism. He is a close friend of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He is also an eloquent advocate for the relevance of Buddhist ethics to our daily lives.

A Buddhist Scholar and Activist
Robert Thurman is the Jey Tsong Khapa Professor of Indo-Tibetan Buddhist Studies at Columbia University. He is also president and co-founder of Tibet House U.S., a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Tibetan civilization, and president of the American Institute of Buddhist Studies. Thurman was named one of Time Magazine’s 25 most influential Americans and has been profiled by The New York Times and People Magazine.

Location Details
The lecture will be in the lovely Environmental and Natural Resources Building 2 (ENR2), Room N120. The Sixth Street Garage is immediately east of the building, on the south side of campus between Park and Highland Avenues. The hourly charge is $2 before 5pm and $1 after 5pm. Visit parking & transportation for additional options.
