New Frontiers in Neurohumanities: An fMRI Study of Literary Attention and Jane Austen

Dr. Phillips is the Lead Faculty for Literary Neuroscience and History of Mind at Michigan State University, co-founder of the MSU Digital Humanities and Literary Cognition Lab, and a faculty member in the MSU Department of English. She is a collaborating scientist with Stanford University and Lund University for a research initiative on “Culture, Brain, and Learning.”

Dr. Phillips kicks off a 3-day, boundary-breaking conference featuring University of Arizona faculty working at the intersections of the humanities, health sciences, and wellness initiatives to address global challenges. This conference offers a unique opportunity for UA researchers from multiple disciplines to come together across campus, to foster new intellectual synergies, and to bring new insights and impetus for future directions in Applied and Public Humanities.
