Tibetan Monks of the Drepung Gomang Monastic College Present a Sand Mandala of Compassion

The events are free and open to the public and will take place in the Student Union Memorial Center 1st Floor Event Area. 
  
SEPT. 17

11 am: Start of 5-Day Mandala of Compassion sand painting with daily Puja (prayer), and thangka exhibit in the UA BookStores Event Area.

1-4 pm: Continuation of mandala. Public is welcome to observe at any time.
 
SEPT. 18

9:30am-noon, 1:30-4 pm: Continuation of mandala. Come at the beginning or the end of the day to hear the monks’ unique trichord chanting.
 
SEPT. 19 & 20

9:30am-noon, 1-4 pm: Continuation of mandala. Come at the beginning or the end of the day to hear the monks’ unique trichord chanting.
 
SEPT. 21

12:45-2 pm: Mandala Dismantling Ceremony and procession.
ON THE GREEN: Display and sale of traditional Tibetan crafts.
