The University of Arizona College of Humanities invites you to join us for the 2026 Tucson Humanities Festival: PLAY, a series of events and special guests, including a conversation with legendary Wildcat Steve Kerr and Coach Tommy Lloyd.
Life is a game and humans are here to play! We play as children not only to have fun, but to learn cultural norms, social bonds and how to handle life’s ups and downs. We play as adults for recreation, camaraderie and competition. We play at every age to add richness and joy to our lives. We play games, sports and music, from the sandbox to the soccer pitch to the stage. Join the College of Humanities in exploring how play is at the heart of human culture and meaning. Ready? Set. Go!
