UA Prose Series: Willy Vlautin

The UA Prose Series, curated by faculty of the Creative Writing Program at the UA, presents prose writers of distinction. Willy Vlautin reads from his work. After the reading there will be a short Q&A session and a book signing.

Willy Vlautin is a singer-songwriter and the author of four novels: The Free (2014), Lean on Pete (2010, a recipient of two Oregon Book Awards), Northline (2008), and The Motel Life (2007). He founded the band Richmond Fontaine in 1994, which has produced nine studio albums, in addition to several live recordings and EPs. Vlautin’s new band, The Delines, featuring vocalist Amy Boone, released its first album in 2014. Vlautin lives in Scappoose, Oregon
