Whitman Circle Summer Social: "Even Though the Whole World is Burning" Screening

When
5 p.m., July 29, 2015

Join us for a screening of Even Though the Whole World is Burning, an intimate portrait of poet and environmentalist W.S. Merwin.  The film chronicles Merwin's significant place in 20th century poetry, translation, and poetics, and highlights connections between Merwin's environmental interests and activisim and his writing life.  Much of the film is shot on location at Merwin's home in Hawaii, a recovered pineapple plantation that is now recognized as one of the greatest living palm collections in the world.

Please note:  This screening will take place at The Loft Cinema at 5:00pm on July 29th, 2015.  Note that this start time differs from other published information.  Hosted by the Poetry Center's Walt Whitman Circle.   The film is 60 minutes in length.
