Montenegro • Croatia • Bosnia
with Dorrance Dean Alain-Philippe Durand and Professor Benjamin Jens
May 24 – June 2, 2026
The College of Humanities is pleased to announce a very special travel opportunity to its supporters in early summer of 2026, a highly customized journey led by Dorrance Dean Alain-Philippe Durand to a fascinating and vital, but little understood, corner of Europe. Our tour through the Adriatic and Balkan nations of Montenegro, Croatia, and Bosnia will provide deep insights on the region's ancient cultures, centuries-old traditions, and modern politics. But these are also places of incredible natural beauty, and as we move through the three nations, we will explore stunning coastal landscapes, rocky karst mountains, pretty wine regions, and isolated hill towns.
With stays in beautiful superior 4-star and 5-star hotels and excellent guides to provide true in-depth looks at towns, monasteries, and ancient ruins throughout the trip, we promise that your tour will be both comfortable and intellectually stimulating. Throw in private charter boat cruises and some memorable fine dining meals, and we know that you will not want to miss it. The tour will be limited to 25 travelers, so please register quickly in order to ensure your spot.
