This talk will focus on how, how not, when, and why to teach online, what kind of culture, cultural analysis, language, and content can be effectively taught online, and interesting tools that can be used. What are the limitations of online teaching? And, how can mobile devices be used in face-to-face, hybrid and online education? The talk will begin with rather broad strokes, after which there will be time for discussion, questions, and demonstrations.Dr. Carter is an Assistant Professor of Africana Studies specializing in African American literature and Digital Culture. His work focuses on virtual environments, as well as digital tools for use in teaching and mobile applications.
