Prof. Julie Belz (Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics and English, Indiana University-Perdue University Indianapolis) will join us for a conversation about her work on advanced German learning, intercultural competence, and the possibilities of telecollaboration. Professor Belz' research interests include: Foreign language use and development (a.k.a. second language acquisition), foreign and second language teaching, technology-enhanced foreign and second language learning and teaching, intercultural foreign language education, discourse analysis, computer-mediated communication, Internet-mediated language and culture learning partnerships (a.k.a. telecollaboration).
